Stripes can give a room a subtle elegance or a bold statement.

They look great in just about any room in your home. Use them in a dining room in a tone on tone to create an elegant and dramatic statement. They look great in an entry way. Use them in children's rooms to make a bold fun statement.  Place them in a den or library in dark tones to create drama and warmth.

Stripes do not have to be solids.  They can be fauxed and in some homes decorative art at random in a stripe is stunning. One look I myself am fond of is taking every other stripe and adding a raised embossed design. Stripes can be wide, thin or alternated wide and thin.
